- The Pudelpointer was created in Germany by crossing Poodles and English Pointers to make a versatile hunting dog. The UKC classes it as a Gun Dog.
- Temperament:
- These pointers are typically loyal to their hunter, reserved with strangers, and serious about work. They need field or water work, not just a backyard.
- Training:
- Be consistent and start bird and water work early. They think in the field.
- Care & Grooming:
- Brush the harsh coat weekly. Dry the ears after swimming.

- Low to moderate.

- Pudelpointers may develop hip dysplasia and ear infections. Ask breeders about hip scores.
