- The Stephens Cur, or Stephens Stock, is an American treeing cur from southeastern Kentucky, used on squirrel, raccoon, and other game. The UKC classes it as a Scenthound.
- Temperament:
- These curs are typically hardy, loyal to their hunter, and determined on a track. They have a carrying voice and need more work than a short walk.
- Training:
- Train the recall early and give the dog a hunting job.
- Care & Grooming:
- Wipe the short coat and check pads after work in rough cover.

- Low to moderate.

- The breed is generally hardy. Keep working dogs fit rather than overfed.
